The Wild Adventures of Dave & Aaron: Obsidian Dust and Gas Station Burritos Written by Aaron G. Beebe A GonnaHappen Chronicles Exclusive
GonnaHappen – The Wild Adventures of Dave & Aaron: Obsidian Dust and Gas Station Burritos
Written by Aaron G. Beebe
A GonnaHappen Chronicles Exclusive
We started out with the bold plan of hiking Mt. Whitney—highest peak in the Lower 48, bucket list material, bragging rights for days. We packed snacks, overestimated our cardio, and declared it the “bro-quest of the year.”
But that dream derailed faster than a downhill wagon full of fireworks.
We got distracted. Then we got lost. Then we started arguing… for seven straight hours. About what? No one remembers. Probably maps. Probably Dave’s playlist. Probably the meaning of life.
Somewhere between existential bickering and passive-aggressive trail snacks, we blacked out—mentally, emotionally, spiritually—and woke up in the middle of Obsidian Field.
The air was crisp. The silence? Deafening. Our first words?
> “Where the hell are we?”
---
Enter: a Native American filmmaker, seemingly summoned from the desert ether like a peyote shaman crossed with Scorsese. He said we were now part of his documentary project, filming "modern men rediscovering their primal idiocy.” We were honored.
Cue the mobbing.
Mono Lake’s sand dunes became our racetrack, our therapy session, and our battlefield. We were 50 miles deep into nowhere, tearing up moon-colored dust like two feral aboriginal spirits in a beat-up Toyota Highlander that screamed for retirement. That call was answered—because by the end, we needed four brand-new struts, an oil pan, and maybe an exorcism. We made that SUV suffer.
Somewhere along the way, we attempted to hike 11,000 feet up, because what else do two dehydrated, overconfident mountain men do?
Mono General Store became our checkpoint. We stumbled in looking like ash-covered extras from Mad Max. The woman behind the counter took one look and said:
> “Well, you two aren’t pussies.”
We took that as a divine blessing.
---
Then came the gas station burrito. $6. Wrapped in foil. Questionable meat. Tasted like glory. That burrito gave us life. It gave us power.
Then came the chaos: nude women bathing by rocks, Native Americans performing rituals, cops who probably smelled whiskey and regret, and us—just trying to find a damn hot spring and our souls.
We drank. Heavily.
Not wisely. Not legally. Just spiritually.
---
But then... Dave fell in love.
Or so he claimed.
Her name? Kristy—with a K.
At first, I thought it was a cruel hallucination of his ex, Christy with a C. But no—this Kristy had tattoos, a lifted Jeep, and wore flip-flops like armor. For three glorious hours, Dave was reborn. He spoke of destiny. Of soulmates. Of moving to Bishop.
And then she ghosted him mid-burrito.
Short-lived. Brutal. Perfect.
Dave still claims it was “real.”
---
Eventually, the Highlander got buried in moon dust. We dug for hours. Dave gunned it too early and blasted a volcanic tail of ash straight into my chest like a disrespectful geyser. I looked like a powdered donut with abandonment issues.
We sat in silence. Dirty. Beaten. But laughing.
Because sometimes, you have to lose your way, ruin your car, fall for a mirage named Kristy-with-a-K, and nearly die in the desert to remember…
Life is ridiculous—and that’s why it’s worth it.

π² Rest in Peace Mikey Ayers – My Crazy, Brilliant, Lifelong FriendBy Aaron G. Beebe – Owner of GonnaHappen

π² Rest in Peace Mikey Ayers – My Crazy, Brilliant, Lifelong Friend
By Aaron G. Beebe – Owner of GonnaHappen
There are certain people in life who leave a mark so wild, so weird, and so unforgettable, that just thinking about them brings a crooked smile to your face. My friend Mikey Ayers was one of those people.
Mikey—my crazy Jewish brother from another mother—wasn't just a friend. He was family. I knew him my whole life, and I still can’t believe I’m writing this tribute. Dave Baxter broke the news to me that Mikey passed, and even then, I didn’t believe him. There was no obituary, no write-up, no post online—just silence. But I couldn’t let Mikey disappear like that. Not without a few words to remember him by.
π° A Wild Spirit at The Row
Mikey loved Reno like it was Vegas 2.0. He was a gambler through and through—The Row was his playground. Me and Dave Baxter would tag along on those infamous runs. He’d gamble, party, and somehow always walk out with cash still in his pocket—Jewish, rich, and hilariously frugal. Mikey wouldn’t spend on just anything, but when it came to his friends, he always had your back and a few bucks for a beer.
And speaking of beers—Mikey had this inside joke he loved doing. He’d leave empty beer cans on Dave Baxter’s front porch or super Dave the UPS driver climber master, then send the dumbest, funniest videos and messages like it was a prank from a sitcom. We’d laugh for hours.
π» Monster Motorhomes, Sand Mountain, and Buggy Days
Growing up, Mikey wasn’t afraid of dirt, dust, or chaos. We used to hit Sand Mountain with monster motorhomes and dune buggies, tearing through the desert like lunatics. He’d ride with his dad, shoot guns, jet skis on this lake and make memories that burned into our bones. It was family. It was reckless. It was youth.
He loved his family, especially his dad, who owned a landscaping company down in Southern California. Mikey followed in those footsteps, working hard, running his own landscaping business, and staying hands-on no matter what. He was a worker, a hustler, and never afraid to get dirty.
π° A Wild Spirit at The Row – Partying at the Gold Room
Mikey loved Reno like it was his second home—and The Row was his playground. But his all-time favorite spot? The Gold Room at the Eldorado. That’s where the real memories were made.
We weren’t just gambling—we were partying at the Gold Room. That place had a vibe, and Mikey brought the fire. Whether he was posted up at a blackjack table, cracking a joke, or quoting some obscure movie line, he lit the place up. He made that fancy casino floor feel like our personal after-hours club.
Me and Dave Baxter would roll in with him, ready for whatever wild night was about to unfold. Mikey had this energy that turned regular casino runs into full-on adventures. And even though he was the most frugal rich guy you'd ever meet, he always had enough to buy a round or spot a friend. That was Mikey—tight with a buck, but generous with his people.
And the pranks never stopped. One of his best: leaving empty beer cans at Dave’s front door or the UPS mast climber, then sending a ridiculous video or message like it was the punchline to an inside joke we’d been laughing at for years.
π§ 4x4s, Hookybobbin & Cold Beers at Uncle Tom’s Cabin
One of the most legendary Mikey adventures? Hookybobbin behind the Jeep, half-drunk, freezing, and laughing our asses off in the mountains near Uncle Tom’s Cabin. If you were there, you know. If you weren’t—well, buckle up.
Mikey loved winter almost as much as he loved chaos. We’d take the 4x4s out in the deep snow, crank the heat inside, then immediately undo it all by tying ropes to the back and dragging each other through the icy roads on sleds, shovels, or whatever piece of junk we could ride. That’s hookybobbin,
Mikey DOO - style. With a Loud - WOOOOOOOOO and GOOOOOOOOOOOD! We entered Uncle Towns!
We’d take breaks to crack open beers—chilled by nature itself—and blast music or shout out dumb movie lines like it was some backwoods comedy special. Mikey would be yelling from the Jeep window, one hand on the wheel, the other pointing at whoever just wiped out in a snowbank.
And always, we'd end up posted at Uncle Tom’s Cabin, muddy boots stomping in, soaking wet from the snow but not giving a damn. It was pure Sierra Nevada magic—friends, frostbite, and fun you couldn’t recreate even if you tried.
It was reckless, stupid, hilarious—and unforgettable. That’s how Mikey lived. Wide open throttle, even on ice.
π₯ Quotes, Knives, and the Mystery of Mikey
Mikey was a walking IMDB. The dude could quote movies like a human jukebox, and him and Dave could go back and forth for hours—line for line. Whether it was Wild At Heart, The Big Lebowski, Scarface, Lethal Weapon, Point Break, North Shore or something obscure, Mikey had it locked in.
And always—ALWAYS—he had this tiny little pocketknife on him. The thing was so small it was almost a joke, but Mikey kept it like a lucky charm. Just a part of who he was.
He had a darker side too. Me and Dave never really understood it, but we always knew it was there. He carried some things with him that he didn’t talk about. But we didn’t need to. Because through all the mess, all the madness, and all the laughter—he was our friend.
π️ Mikey’s Legacy: Laughter, Loyalty, and the Stories We Can’t Tell
There are so many wild stories I could share—ones I probably shouldn’t put in writing. Mikey Ayers lived like a firecracker, always on, always unexpected. He’d send the craziest texts, the weirdest videos, and sometimes vanish for a bit before popping up again like nothing happened. That was just Mikey.
I hope that someone out there—one of his old friends, a family member, a wild partier who remembers those Reno nights—reads this and laughs like I do. Because that’s the best way to honor Mikey. Laugh, remember, maybe crack open a cold one, and quote your favorite movie line out loud in his name.
Rest easy, Mikey Ayers. You were one of a kind. And I’m proud I got to call you my friend.

Surviving, Fighting, and Rebuilding: My Journey, Cuba’s Struggle, and the Mission of GonnaHappen Written by Aaron G. Beebe
Written by Aaron G. Beebe
A Story of Survival and Resilience
History has a way of repeating itself, but it can be rewritten in a positive way. My family’s background is a testament to resilience, survival, and the pursuit of equal rights, and my own journey has echoed those struggles in ways I never anticipated.
From the Uyematsu side of my family, who endured the injustice of Japanese internment camps, to my German-Jewish ancestors who faced persecution, to my Puerto Rican and Mexican relatives, and friends I made over the years, including Angel Salazar from Cuba, our collective story is one of perseverance against oppression.
Yet, despite coming from a lineage that has fought for basic freedoms, I found myself suffering through my own trials over the past five years. The pandemic and its aftermath took away everything I had built—my connections, my career, my finances. I was left isolated, abandoned by people I once trusted, and forced to navigate a world that suddenly seemed determined to erase me.
In that struggle, I saw reflections of my family’s past—internment camps, forced migrations, economic hardships—and I realized that my battle was not just my own. Across the world, people are still fighting for basic rights and dignity. Nowhere is this more evident than in Cuba, where citizens endure economic collapse, human rights violations, and government repression.
During my time attending Miami’s cultural music festivals, exploring Little Havana and Calle Ocho, and meeting Cuban friends, I began to see the fight for freedom and opportunity up close. Their struggles mirrored my own, reinforcing my belief that oppression is not just historical—it is ongoing.
Just as my ancestors refused to be silenced, I refused to be erased. That is why I built GonnaHappen.com—not just as a business, but as a mission. A mission to push through failure, to persevere, and to create a platform where others can reclaim their voice and their future.
How the Produce Industry and Immigrant Workers Saved My Life
Growing up, I was a troubled kid—restless, searching for direction, and often feeling like I didn’t belong. I didn’t have many opportunities handed to me, and I had to learn how to navigate life on my own. But when I started working in the produce industry, everything changed.
I began at the bottom, packing boxes in warehouses, working long hours, and learning the grind of physical labor. It was tough, but it taught me discipline, resilience, and appreciation for hard work—something I had never truly understood before. I worked alongside immigrant field workers who had left everything behind for a chance at a better life. No one had ever given me that kind of perspective before.
I saw firsthand what it meant to struggle, to sacrifice, and to work tirelessly without complaint. These men and women, often overlooked and underappreciated, showed me what true determination and perseverance looked like. They saved my life in a way—because they gave me something I had been missing: a sense of purpose.
As I slowly moved up, I learned how to inspect produce, handle logistics, and eventually understand the entire supply chain. The experience shaped me into the person I am today—someone who knows the value of hard work, respects every level of the workforce, and refuses to take opportunities for granted.
The produce industry and the immigrant workers I worked alongside taught me more than any classroom ever could. They taught me respect, humility, and the power of perseverance—lessons that have stayed with me throughout my life.
A Family History of Survival
Japanese Internment and the Uyematsu Story
The Uyematsu side of my family, like many Japanese Americans during World War II, was unjustly forced into internment camps. They were stripped of their homes, businesses, and dignity, treated as enemies in a country they called home. The trauma of these camps—where they were held against their will under harsh conditions—left a lasting impact, not just on those who lived through it but on the generations that followed.
π Watch the Uyematsu Story Here
Years later, the U.S. government formally apologized and honored the Japanese-American community for their unjust treatment, recognizing the sacrifices they endured. Their story serves as a reminder that history can be corrected, but only if we fight to tell the truth.
Honoring Amy Uyematsu: A Legacy of Strength and Cultural Identity
π Learn More About Amy Uyematsu
Amy Uyematsu (1947–2023) was a poet, activist, and educator who gave voice to the Japanese-American experience. Her work helped reclaim cultural identity, fought against assimilation, and stood in solidarity with civil rights movements.
She used poetry as her weapon to fight oppression and reclaim identity. I use Gonna-Happen.com as my platform to do the same—to give people a space where their voices are heard, their experiences are shared, and their resilience is celebrated.
Her message remains clear: We must never let history silence us. We must own our identities, share our truths, and fight for a future where no one is erased.
The Struggle for Freedom in Cuba: A PSA for Awareness
Cuba is facing a human rights crisis, economic devastation, and ongoing repression. The Cuban people are struggling daily under an oppressive system, much like my ancestors once did. Their battle for freedom, dignity, and survival is a reminder that oppression is not just a thing of the past—it is happening today.
π Human Rights Watch: Cuba’s Situation
π Freedom House: Cuba’s Political Status
The Cuba Freedom March: A Movement for Change
As I reflected on my own struggles and the fight for justice, I came across a movement that deeply resonated with me—the Cuba Freedom March. This movement represents the voices of millions of Cubans who are standing up against oppression, censorship, and economic devastation. It is a global call for change, driven by Cubans in exile, activists, and human rights organizations who refuse to let the world ignore the suffering of the Cuban people.
The Cuba Freedom March has taken place in major cities like Miami, Washington D.C., Madrid, and Mexico City, with thousands gathering to demand:
✅ The end of dictatorship in Cuba
✅ Freedom for political prisoners
✅ Basic human rights, including free speech and democracy
✅ Economic reform and an end to government corruption
π Learn More About the Cuba Freedom March – (social)
https://www.instagram.com/cubanfreedommarch/
The passion and determination behind this movement remind me of my own journey—of being silenced, abandoned, and erased. But just like the brave activists of Cuba, I refuse to let my story be erased, and I refuse to let their fight go unnoticed.
The power of a movement lies in the people who refuse to give up, just as my ancestors fought through internment, persecution, and economic hardship, just as I fought through personal loss and rebuilding, and just as the people of Cuba continue to fight for freedom and dignity.
I stand in solidarity with Cuba and the Cuba Freedom March because no one should be forced into silence, oppression, or exile. Freedom is a right, not a privilege.
π Join the movement, spread awareness, and stand for Cuba’s freedom.
π₯ Freedom for Cuba is not just a dream—it’s a movement, and together, we can make it happen (CUBAN CULTURAL CENTER)
German-Jewish Persecution
At the same time, my German-Jewish ancestors faced persecution, imprisonment, and extermination under Nazi rule. Some of my family members were fortunate enough to escape, while others suffered through war, displacement, and death.
π The History of Jewish Persecution
The fear of being targeted, labeled an outsider, or losing everything overnight is something that has echoed through my family’s history—just as it continues to echo through the lives of those fighting for freedom today.
How GonnaHappen.com Became My Fight for a Better Life and a Positive Community Platform
Through my own oppression and suffering, where I had my basic needs stripped away, I was forced to fight back with my voice. They took almost everything and everyone from my life—but they couldn’t take my ability to tell my story.
I built Gonna-Happen.com as a platform to reclaim my independence and create something positive for others.
Finding Brotherhood in Colombia: Dumar Roa’s Fight and Our Shared Resilience
In the midst of my struggles, I found an unexpected friend and brother in Dumar Roa, a Colombian MMA champion from BogotΓ‘. Dumar, like me, has faced hardship, setbacks, and moments where the world seemed determined to keep him down. But through sheer will, discipline, and perseverance, he never gave up—on himself, his dreams, or his community.
I have had the privilege of supporting and sponsoring Dumar as a fighter, not just to help his career but to uplift the people around him. His journey is a reminder that true strength isn’t just physical—it’s about mental and emotional resilience, about pushing forward when life keeps knocking you down.
Dumar’s story and the way he continues to inspire his community in BogotΓ‘ remind me of the same values I learned from immigrant workers in the produce industry—hard work, dedication, and never making excuses. He’s proof that no matter where you come from, if you fight for your dreams, you can make them a reality.
I am honored to stand behind him, just as he has stood by me when so many others disappeared. In a world where too many people walk away when things get tough, Dumar has shown me what true loyalty and perseverance look like.
π₯ His fight is my fight, and together, we rise.

Final Thoughts
History is a guide, but it does not have to be a prophecy. I have suffered, yes—but I have also learned. I have been broken, but I am rebuilding. And just as my ancestors, my friends from Cuba, and others from around the world have fought for a better life, I will continue to do the same.
To those who feel unheard, unseen, or abandoned: I see you. Your story matters. And no matter what struggles we face, we will always find a way to persevere.
Because no matter what happens—it’s all GonnaHappen.
π The journey doesn’t end here—this is only the beginning.

Empowering Georgetown Through Music and Community: A Legacy of Empowerment and ArtistryWritten by Aaron G Beebe
Empowering Georgetown Through Music and Community: A Legacy of Empowerment and Artistry
Empowering Georgetown Through Music and Community: A Legacy of Empowerment and Artistry
Written by Aaron G Beebe
Growing up in Georgetown, CA, I was fortunate to witness the profound impact of my mother, whose unwavering commitment to uplifting the community still echoes through her leadership of the Divide Women’s Group and the transformative initiative, Music on the Divide. These efforts have changed the fabric of our local community, offering support, encouragement, and vital resources for kids and special needs children in Georgetown.
My mothers dedication to service is clear in her work with local schools. She spent countless hours mentoring and guiding young minds, ensuring that every child—regardless of their background or abilities—had the opportunity to flourish. My mothers approach seamlessly blends education with creative expression, using music as a powerful, universal language that connects and empowers. Under her direction, Music on the Divide blossomed into a vibrant movement, celebrating artistic talent while building lasting bonds within the community.
But Music on the Divide is not merely about creating beautiful melodies—it’s about connecting people, inspiring hope, and sparking change. Through community concerts, collaborative projects, and inclusive events, this initiative reflects Georgetown’s true spirit of unity and diversity. At the heart of this movement is the Divide Women’s Group, fostering a nurturing environment where voices are heard, ideas flourish, and transformative change takes place. My mothers legacy of community enrichment continues to inspire many, propelling Georgetown forward with renewed energy and compassion.
Spotlight on Branden and James: National Talent and Local Inspiration
As the owner of GonnaHappen.com, renotahoeevents.com, and Music on the Divide, I am deeply inspired by my mom’s legacy in everything I do. One shining example of talent and community spirit is Branden and James—an extraordinary musical duo that brings their innovative, classically inspired pop songs to audiences worldwide. Their inspiring journey, which includes a standout performance on America’s Got Talent, exemplifies how music can transcend boundaries and touch hearts across the globe.
On March 23, Georgetown will have the privilege of hosting Branden and James for a live performance that will be an electrifying celebration of art and community. Branden and James, renowned for his soaring tenor vocals, captivated millions during his AGT appearance, while his partner, James Clark, has an extensive career collaborating with legends such as Idina Menzel and Olivia Newton-John. Together, they create a sound that blends passion, precision, and artistry—an experience that promises to be unforgettable.
This performance is a celebration of the magic that happens when creativity meets community. Branden and James, with their energy and talent, will bring to life the very spirit of Georgetown—where music and connection make for a powerful force of change.
Connecting Generations and Celebrating Legacy
As I work to carry forward my mom’s vision through my events and ventures, I’m constantly reminded of how vital it is to weave together music, education, and community outreach. I believe that by continuing her mission, we can open doors for growth and provide a platform where everyone can shine.
Music on the Divide and initiatives like Branden and James’ performance are pivotal to this vision. They showcase not only the power of artistic expression but also how music serves as a bridge that unites diverse generations and backgrounds. In the same way My mothers work continues to uplift, Branden and James bring that same sense of community and hope through their artistry.
Join us in celebrating empowerment and transformation. Discover more about Music on the Divide and Branden and James as we continue to create spaces for creativity, connection, and change.

Finding Common Ground with Sean P. McKenna
Finding Common Ground with Sean P. McKenna
Written by AaronGBeebe
Every now and then, you meet someone in the industry who just gets it. Someone who shares your struggles, your frustrations, your drive, and—most importantly—your passion. For me, that person is Sean P. McKenna.
Sean and I were introduced by my publicist, Raquel Figlo, a powerhouse in the OC rock scene. When we connected, I quickly realized that Sean and I were cut from the same cloth. We’ve both been involved in entertainment for years, promoting and managing artists while telling great stories. But beyond that, we share something unique: we both took a step back from the industry, disillusioned by its challenges, only to return with a renewed purpose and a refined vision.
The Journey Back to Passion
Stepping away from something you love is never easy. Like Sean, I needed time away to reassess my path. For me, that break was about soul-searching and finding the strength to rebuild GonnaHappen—an idea I had once felt had failed. For Sean, it was about rediscovering his love for music and helping musicians navigate an industry that often undervalues their artistry.
Through his podcast, Rimshots with Sean, and his platform, Barstools and BandTalk, Sean has created a space where artists can truly take charge of their careers. He understands that many musicians just want to create and perform—business and media are often afterthoughts. Sean bridges that gap, helping artists gain the exposure and support they need to thrive. That’s something I admire deeply because, in many ways, I’m doing the same thing with GonnaHappen.
My Time on Barstools and BandTalk
Appearing on Sean’s show was an incredible experience. It had been a long time since I had been in front of a camera for an interview, but Sean made me feel completely at home. He has a natural way of bringing out the best in people, making conversations flow effortlessly. What struck me most was his genuine enthusiasm for what he does. Sean isn’t just running a podcast; he’s creating a movement. He’s using his platform to lift up musicians, share their stories, and give them the spotlight they deserve. That level of passion and dedication is rare—and it’s something that resonated deeply with me.
Why Sean’s Work Matters
In addition to hosting Rimshots with Sean, Sean is also a drummer, session musician, and live event promoter. His reach in the industry is broad, and his impact is undeniable. Whether he’s behind a drum kit or behind a microphone, he’s always working to support the artists he believes in. Sean’s ability to merge media, music, and business into a cohesive, artist-driven platform is something I respect immensely. It’s easy to see why so many musicians trust him with their stories and careers. He’s not in it for the fame—he’s in it for the love of music and the artists who create it.
A Shared Vision for the Future
Like Sean, I’ve returned to the industry with a renewed focus. I rebuilt GonnaHappen to give artists more control over their own careers. Unlike other platforms, mine is designed to empower creatives, giving them the tools they need to navigate the business side of entertainment without losing their passion. Sean’s work has been an inspiration to me in many ways. Seeing his dedication reminded me why I started GonnaHappen in the first place. And that’s why I highly recommend checking out Rimshots with Sean and Barstools and BandTalk. If you’re an artist looking for guidance, exposure, or just a great conversation about music, Sean is someone you want to know. And if you ever have the chance to be on his show—take it. He’ll make you feel right at home.

An Unforgettable Journey: From Sacramento to the Hilton Grand Vacations Event & Tournament of Champions in Orlando
An Unforgettable Journey: From Sacramento to the Hilton Grand Vacations Event & Tournament of Champions in Orlando
Written by Aaron G Beebe
Day 1: The Long Journey Begins
As the founder of Gonna Happen I embarked on an all-day journey from Sacramento, California, to Orlando, Florida, to attend the Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV) Tournament of Champions. The trip involved multiple layovers, and on one flight, I met a flight attendant from Washington, D.C., who was heading home. Tragically, he passed away in a plane crash the following morning—a story deserving its own reflection.
Upon arriving in Orlando around 7 PM, I hailed an Uber driven by a friendly lady from Venezuela. Being Half-fluent in Spanish, I used a translation app to read aloud and engage in conversation throughout the ride to my Hilton hotel near my HGV timeshare. Arriving a day early, I settled in, grabbed some food and a drink, and retired for the night.
Day 2: Exploring the HGV Tuscany Village Resort
The next morning, I took a brief five-minute walk to the HGV Tuscany Village Resort, conveniently located near upscale factory stores, perfect for shopping enthusiasts. The weather was ideal, complementing the resort's immaculate rooms and the staff's exceptional hospitality. They even chauffeured me to my room via golf cart.
After a refreshing gym session and shower, I consulted the concierge for solo activities that combined fun with culinary delights. They recommended "Drinking Around the World" at Epcot. This is very well known to all the locals. Intrigued, I purchased a ticket and, after preparing in my room, took a ride-share to Epcot—a tale worthy of its own narrative.

Following a rejuvenating morning walk to shake off the previous day's indulgences, I prepared for the highlight of my trip: the HGV 3 Doors Down concert. The event was all-inclusive, offering transportation, food, drinks, and the company of wonderful people.
On the bus ride with fellow guests, I conversed with several Hilton marketing employees. Upon arrival, I met two remarkable ladies—one, the mother of a professional LPGA<https://www.lpga.com/> golfer, and her best friend. They graciously guided me through the event's nuances, introducing me to key individuals and areas.
As I was attending in a professional capacity, I donned a USPA press badge—not for backstage access, but to signify my role in capturing photos and documenting my experience. I mingled, snapped photos, and bonded with Hilton employees, who made me feel like both a VIP and family. The ambiance was electric, with a DJ setting a vibrant tone and areas designed for relaxation, complete with campfires and VIP booths, creating a concert-meets-club family atmosphere.
When I was going to florida I though I was going to watch Flo Rida, one of my favorites, little did I know it was another favorite—3 Doors Down<https://3doorsdown.com/> took the stage, and the crowd surged forward. I found myself front and center in this intimate setting. Hilton employees joined me as we danced, jumped, and sang along to the band's hits. The performance was stellar, and I was still working and vacationing, capturing some memorable photos, which I later shared on my personal social media. I event went live feed from the event on my social.
As the show concluded, attendees either boarded buses or found their own way back to the food truck court, where we ate and had some more drinks, wrapping up a night charged with energy and unforgettable moments.
Day 4: Immersing in the LPGA Tournament of Champions
[embed]https://youtu.be/xr4wDH
(Photo Highlight Reel- Above)
The following day, I attended the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club in Orlando<https://www.lakenona.c
Growing up in Monterey and Lake Tahoe, I was no stranger to prestigious golf tournaments. I frequently attended the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am<https://www.attpbgolf.c
However, the interaction with LPGA<https://www.lpga.com/> players and celebrities at this event was unparalleled. The atmosphere was more engaging and fan-friendly than any tournament I'd attended before, in a lower-crowd setting. Perfect setting.
I began my day at the first hole, following A Lim Kim<https://en.wikipedia.org/w
As a lifelong Raiders<https://www.raiders.co
After some time, I moved to the 18th hole, enjoying the DJ's music and exploring areas accessible with my pass, careful not to overstep any boundaries. Sometimes at events, you get blessed with a magic invite to areas normal people don't get to go to met all the players and celebrities in different setting as I have many times at other events. Not this time, but we see what the future holds. Although I knew people in Florida and Orlando's music sceen industry, who works at Orlando Weekly and had friends who worked at Disney, they were all busy or out of town during my visit. Thus, I balanced work and leisure solo.
As the day concluded, I indulged in more of the amazing food and soaked in the vibrant atmosphere with all the amazing Hilton employees I had made as new friends.
I highly recommend becoming a Hilton HGV owner member and considering an upgrade if you haven't already yet. The experience is truly worthwhile. Eventually, I boarded the bus back to the timeshare and headed to the pool bar to chat with the friendly bartender and cafΓ© staff I'd met at the concert the night before.
Days 5 & 6: Reflection and Departure
The following days were dedicated to relaxation and reflection. I attended my owner's upgrade meeting, understanding the value it could bring.
I got the timeshare to use for work and entertaining clients. What a dream to be able to go to events for Hilton after working for Paris's shoes line https://parishilton.com/shop/ in my first years of getting into the entertainment industry.
I've always hoped I could travel and enjoy the VIP lifestyle like the Hollywood celebs again for a career, I used to do it alot in the old days when I lived in Los Angeles. Those times have changed some since the pandemic, but we all know if you're able to get paid to do what you love and are happy and healthy, you're living the sliving lifestyle...
